Foundation Course – Coffee Roasting Basics

The Foundation Course focuses on learning the essential skills and equipment needed to roast coffee at home or for your business. Throughout the training, you will become familiar with the key tools and techniques required for successful coffee roasting.

At the end of the course, if you wish, you can receive an SCA certificate for completing the basic level, as well as a package of Martines best-selling coffee.

The “Roasting Basics” course provides learners with an understanding of the roasting process – from the physical changes that occur during roasting to controlling the sensory aspects of coffee by roasting beans to light or dark profiles. Participants will also gain knowledge of the basic structure of roasting machines, their maintenance, and essential fire prevention techniques.
